1¾ cups filtered low sodium water (trace)
- 1 medium fresh apple, sliced, chopped or diced, skin on (1.82 mg)
- 1/3 cup seedless golden or black raisins or dried cranberries (6.593 mg)
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon* (.13 mg)
- 1 cup Quick Quaker Oats or other brand of quick oats (2.4 mg)
- 3 tablespoons nonfat milk with added Vitamin A (25.7 mg)
Put 1¾-cups of water into pan of choice.
Prepare apple, place into pan along with raisins and cinnamon. Bring to boil.
While water is coming to boil, put nonfat milk into a coffee cup and using the frother, bring milk up to a froth. Set aside.
When water is boiling, add the oats, turn heat down a bit and stir for one minute. When done, turn heat off and move the oatmeal to another unused burner.
Place milk in the cup into a microwave and heat for about twenty seconds or until the foam reaches the top of the cup.
Remove froth from microwave. Serve oatmeal in bowls and lay the froth on top. You may want to make more foam if you divide the oatmeal into three or more servings.
*Or cinnamon to taste.
