Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound lean ground pork, turkey or chicken or a combination of (Pork: 126.6 mg; Turkey 214.3 mg)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper (.231 mg)
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice (.183 mg)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground sage (trace)
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced fresh garlic, or powdered garlic (.369 mg)

    Directions

    In a medium size bowl, mix together all ingredients except for the oil. Shape into 4 evenly sized patties and cook in a nonstick pan with the olive oil over medium heat. Cook each side for 5 to 8 minutes or until browned.

    Serve hot with eggs, or as a dinner with freshly steamed broccoli, asparagus or squash and sliced tomatoes.
