  • 3/4 cup white granulated sugar (trace)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (9.372 mg)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract (trace)
  • 1 1/2 cups best for bread white flour (3.75 mg)
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice with calcium (trace)
  • 2 tablespoons almond filling or paste (marzipan) (trace)

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cream butter, sugar, almond filling, extract until smooth. Add flour to the creamed mixture.

Press this mix into an 8" x 8" lightly greased glass baking dish.

Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff.

Fold into the egg whites the brown sugar and chopped almonds (use your processor to chop if you have whole almonds) gradually through egg whites.

Spread this over mixture in baking pan.
